Sep 16, 2016 Run Revit using Remote Desktop (RDP) This is a best option for me since I love to travel light. I just carry my MacBook Air and use the Microsoft provided 'app' Remote Desktop. I just got a Mac last semester with 8 GB, and I've found when using Autodesk programs, using 4 GB on the Windows sides works. 6 GB will probably give you the best results. I haven't used Revit on this computer yet so I can't tell you anything for sure, but definitely look into Parallels.
The wait is finally over for all you Mac and Revit users thanks to Frame. No more Bootcamp, Parallels or switching between a PC and Mac, well, yes, but no. Autodesk don’t have a Revit for Mac version but there is an application called Frame that it can run through and Autodesk have certified it for Revit and AutoCAD.
